Plan Analysis

Image: Plan Analysis

Armed with a good set of plans, our plan analysts are dedicated to providing builders with the most accurate reflection of a home's level of compliance with the current energy codes and Energy Star certification.

To accomplish this, our trained analysts draw from their knowledge of energy code, various authentication tools, and complex home-energy-analysis software.

Inspections

In order to ensure your home meets the efficiency standards you expect, we provide a series of inspections at different stages of constuction.

Pre-Sheetrock Inspection

A pre-sheetrock inspection is performed in order to verify that the insulation and HVAC equipment have been installed properly, and that all penetrations (doors, windows, top/sole plate, plumbing/wiring, etc.) are blocked and sealed properly.

Final Inspection

Our final inspection consists of performance based diagnostic testing. A blower door test is performed in order to measure the tightness of a home's thermal envelope (i.e. air infiltration). A duct blaster test is also performed on the home's HVAC system in order to measure system leakage.

These inspections are the key to your home's energy efficient performance and allow you to realize the many benefits of an energy efficient home.

Diagnostic Testing
