How To Become an ENERGY STAR Partner
- Builder signs a Partnership Agreement with the EPA's ENERGY STAR program and commits to building one ENERGY STAR home per year
- Building specifications are reviewed by Energy Sense to ensure they meet ENERGY STAR requirements
- Energy Sense conducts builder and sales training on ENERGY STAR certification process
- Building plans modeled
- Builder notifies Energy Sense that the home is ready for its first inspection
- Home Passes → Processed and certified
- Home Fails → Inspector contacts builder and contractor
- 48 hour automatic re-inspection by Energy Sense
- Home is tested
- Home Passes → Processed and certified
- Home Fails → Must be re-tested until it passes
- Monthly report provided by Energy Sense to builder management
